Mission Statement

The Ellensburg Bail Fund works to ensure that marginalized people and college students in Kittitas County are not unjustly held in jail simply because they cannot afford bail. By providing cash bail for those awaiting court appearances on minor charges, we help individuals return to their communities, defend themselves from a position of freedom, and reduce the harm caused by pretrial incarceration. We recognize that people in jail are among our most vulnerable neighbors, and their protection requires collective care. As a community-driven organization, it is our mission to meet this urgent need.
